Fast Draw School
July 2004 - Munden School of the Fast Gun (Butte, Montana)Bob Munden began shooting competition with single-action revolvers in 1953. During his world-record breaking, Fast-Draw competition years, Bob never shared his knowledge about speed shooting or gun-smithing. Later, he began educating people during exhibitions and on DVDs designed for entertainment.

A master gun smith at the highest level, Bob builds Colt Army or Ruger Vaquero single actions into
Munden Premier Action Race Guns, which can withstand the rigors of Fast Draw, also known as Quick Draw. There have been many articles in gun magazines about Bob's custom work on single-action revolvers, and you can learn more about Bob Munden's Six Gun Magic at this site.

Publicity about Bob's gun work further increased interest in learning Fast Draw, and Bob received a growing number of requests from gun-work clients, experienced shooters and fans interested in Fast Draw, for information and advice about how to Fast Draw, how to load blanks and wax bullets; how to start a Fast Draw club, etc. Repeatedly, shooters asked Bob to offer some type of school.

In Butte, Montana in 1993, Munden Enterprises introduced Bob Munden's School of the Fast Gun™, which attracted students from all over the nation. The Fast-Draw training school has become an annual event, usually scheduled for Monday through Thursday the last week of July.

Participants of the Munden School of the Fast Gun learn how to load blanks.
WARNING: DO NOT EVER FAST DRAW WITH REAL BULLETS!  IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND CAN RESULT IN SEVERE INJURY AND DEATH.

Bob personally instructs every class. To ensure that he is able to give participants individual attention, Bob limits each course to no more than eight students. A minimum of 5 students must register per course. The registration fee of $800 per student includes color photos taken during the week of each participant shooting, of the group - and of each student with Bob Munden; a School Of The Fast Gun t-shirt, a supply of primers and brass for use during the course -- and a personal loading kit with tools and cleaning supplies. When possible, Munden Enterprises will secure a discount rate at one of the local hotels to help cut student expenses.

Fast Draw PracticeNOTE:
Historic Butte in southwestern Montana has an airport, a fine assortment of hotels, restaurants, car rental opportunities and an array of shopping and tourist attractions. Uptown Butte is a National Historic Landmark District just 150 miles from the Gates of West Yellowstone and Yellowstone National Park.
Butte, the Mining City, is a central location for taking side trips to many destinations, including Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, which is less than 15 miles outside town. Glacier National Park is a 4.5-hour drive to the north, and is only one of countless other places where participants and their families can enjoy Big Sky Country.

Bob Munden's School Of The Fast Gun™ includes
gun safety training - and lots of fast drawing and shooting, under Bob's personal supervision, with the use of balloon targets and fast-draw timers.

"I will make time for individual attention. Without a doubt, you will leave better
skilled in fast draw than any Western movie star. And if you believe you are
good now, I know I can help you increase your skill level. A course like this will
save you many hours, even years, of practice -- and help eliminate any bad
habits you may have developed on your own. The school is fun as well as
informative. Many of my students come back year after year, bringing their
families with them to enjoy Montana."  - Bob Munden

At Bob Munden's School of the Fast Gun™ students learn:

Safety
Mechanics of the Single-Action Revolver
Basic Maintenance of the Single Action

Fast Draw ShootingBefore registering for Bob Munden's School Of The Fast Gun™, participants must acquire the proper equipment.
